Who are we?
We Are…
Christian People
Holiness People
Missional People
Therefore; We Believe…
… in one God whom is revealed as God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.
… the Bible is the relevant and inspired word of God.
… all people have sinned and that through Jesus’ death and resurrection, God’s grace and forgiveness is available to all who sincerely repent.
… in a second work of grace, or sanctification, by which our lives are to become fully devoted and obedient to the workings of the Holy Spirit through a lifestyle of “love made perfect.”
… the church is to be the hands and feet of Jesus in our community and around the world.
… that Jesus is completely God and completely man and is coming again.
… in the “Articles of Faith” as written in the current Manual of the International Church of the Nazarene
We are Dedicated to…
… Worship – the highest expression of our love for God. As we gather together before God in worship – singing, hearing the reading of the Bible, giving our tithes and offerings, praying, listening to the preached Word, baptizing, and sharing the Lord’s Supper – we know more clearly what it means to have a personal relationship with God.
… Discipleship – the process of learning how God would have us live in the world. Through Sunday School, Bible Studies, and most effectively Home Small Groups we encourage believers and those who are not-yet-saved to grow in their understanding of the Christian faith and in their relationship with God.
… Relationship – the connection with God and with others. Our health and spiritual well being is a priority and must not be tainted by being judgmental, gossiping, or devaluing people.
… Fellowship – the building of loving relationships. Through age appropriate activities – children, youth, young adult, adult, elderly, etc – and congregation wide events it is our calling to develop friendships with mutual respect and trust for each other.
… Evangelism – the inviting of people to Christian faith. By developing friendships with others – family, friends, neighbors, co-workers, etc – we strive to earn the trust necessary to take every opportunity to invite people to faith in Jesus Christ.
… Compassion – the demonstration of the love of God. Through serving our local community and the rest of the world by helping people with their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs.
